2010 - Jones Horan auction, 23 May 2010, $70,000, "DESCRIPTION: APW - albert potter & Co, Geneva, minute repeating grande & petite sonnerie clockwatch, tandem winding, 52mm, heavy 18K original HC with potter balance logo within back cover, glazed cuvette, 1892 presentation within front cover to Henry Sherman Boutell, inscribed within the back cover, "This watch is sold to H S Boutell for $1,000.00 and is one of the only two of the kind made by us, albert H potter & Co, March14, 1892," SW with shifting lever-set, WE-SSD, fully capped lever escapement, 29-37J, plain wheel pattern satin NI damascene, s#774, equipped with silent & striking selection lever at top, hours & quarters (petite sonnerie) vs full striking (grand sonnerie) lever at base of bezel, minute repeat activation by trip lever on band CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good poise, good repeat, clockwatch functions and tone; plates show only a few tiny black specks, numerous MFS, good slots & settings, tiny oxide on bright work; dial perfect; hands of slightly variant tone but original; the case inscription in the back has a correction to the Boutell spelling error on the second letter; original very heavy gauge case shows light wear, numerous MFS, no dents or dings; bow with lightly worn center & sticker residue, crown shows light wear; good glass crystals PRICE SOLD: $70,000"
